Title: Ghostbusters
Released: 2016
Rated: PG-13
Ghostbusters was funny! Melissa McCarthy, Kristin Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones made their characters even funnier, but there were some scary parts. I got to see the movie on my birthday with my family; and I got a Funko Pop! Vinyl of Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy’s character) for a present. My brother was complaining that there were no male leads in the film but I think he just read that on the internet.
The first Ghostbusters was in 1984, and it was all male characters in that movie. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver all appeared in different roles in the new film. Harold Ramis passed away, but was one of the original Ghostbusters. I was surprised that Rick Moranis didn’t appear in the film though. Speaking of appearances, I think this is the first time that Melissa’s husband Ben Falcone hasn’t appeared in her film at some point.
Listen for face bidet, and look for a bunch of loose balloon references.
